Skirting Responsibility
Were you in a relationship and then after a period of time and you had become pregnant? Now that you are pregnant, the father is trying to skirt his responsibility by denying that he is the legitimate father of your child. You should not feel ashamed, situations like this occur all too often. You know that he is the father and that he is only trying to get out of taking financial responsibility for his actions. This is grossly unfair to you, and you cannot let him get by with this. If he’s the father, then he needs to be there for the child, preferably both by being there and taking on his responsibility for finances. But first, you must prove that he is indeed the father to the court.
This is where the task might seem daunting. The court system can be very intimidating. In order to have the father take on his part of the financial responsibility, you must prove to the court that he is indeed the father. By simply going in on your own, you are greatly diminishing your chances of success. In the court, it a matter of your word against his and less efficient evidence with the sound the legal argument can be presented. You do not have the training necessary to navigate this legal system efficiently. It’s for this reason that you need an excellent law team on your side to help you fight for the future of you and your child. With a law team on your side, you will be able to present to the court the man in question is indeed the father and should be held financially responsible for the child that he has fathered.
